The Germantown Library is running an August Maker Camp and would love for your family to be a part of it!
Our August Maker Camp is open to 25 children in grades K – 5. Camp runs Monday, August 19 through Friday, August 23: from 9 am – 3 pm.
There are two steps to start:
1. Please complete this form to reserve your spot(s). Please complete one form for each camper. We will let you know within 24 hours if we have reached maximum capacity and must move your camper to the waitlist. https://docs.google. com/forms/d/1QM12GdZC_ uKxhka4yj0n29G6ZkjdHqb2MdL3gSp 09EA/edit
2. By Tuesday, August 13 at 6 pm, Please drop off a check made out to “Germantown Library” with “August Maker Camp,” the number of days, and your campers first name in the memo. Sample memo note: “August Maker Camp, x5, Gabe”. If we do not receive a check by Tuesday, August 13 at 6 pm, we will open your camper’s spot to another family.
Campers may sign-up for any number of days for $25 a day.
Please note:
Please note:
• We’ve kept costs as low as possible and are unable to offer a sibling discount at this time.
• We can offer a refund with a $5 processing fee up until Tuesday, August 13. We are unable to offer a refund after Tuesday, August 13.
• We hope to offer online payments in the future; our small staff and volunteer force is not equipped to manage that at this time.
Camp will take place in the Hover Room and Makerspace (lower level parking lot) with local, walkable trips to the Palatine Park Playground and Trail. Campers will engage in crafts, book-related games + activities, cooking, and lots more. Our camp is led by beloved GCS elementary teachers Cheryl Werner (Library) and Emma Brooks (Pre-K TA).
Campers should pack an allergy-free lunch and a spare set of clothes (t-shirt, pants, socks)—just in case things get painty + muddy. We will supply the snacks . . . including some that campers make!
