Afternoon Sound Bath at the Germantown Library

Looking for a way to destress and recenter? Join us for 1-hour of guided healing sound therapy, featuring singing bowls, chimes and other meditative tools. Community members 12-years-old and older are invited to join and prepare to leave with a profound sense of relaxation and recharged energy.

Led by trusted Holistic Practitioner with more than 20 years of experience, Nea’ Mckinney will guide the group through a meditative experience where those in attendance are “bathed” in sound waves. These waves are produced by various sources, including healing instruments such as gongs, singing bowls, percussion, chimes, and rattles.

Health Benefits of Sound Therapy

  • Manages stress, reduces anxiety & creates inner peace
  • Slows breathing
  • Stress hormone levels fall
  • Blood pressure decreases
  • Improves sleep

How to prepare for a Sound Therapy session

Please bring a towel, yoga mat or blanket to lay on. It is recommended to be well hydrated before your experience as sound and vibration travel much better through water. It may also be a good idea to eat something light about an hour or so prior to your arrival so you do not become hungry during the experience.
