Bilingual stories for kids in English, Portuguese, and Spanish (with Julia, Elba y Maritza), Latin Music & food (with Alma’s Tacos) + library card sign ups and check out a book from our new collection. Family event.
Maritza del Razo is an educator with a biweekly column on Radio Kingston where she shares stories about Latinx heritage. She will read a story in Spanish and English about corn upstairs and then lead an activity in the makerspace with actual corn. Then make tortillas with the kids in the Makerspace from 11 am – 12 pm!
Montessori music teacher and music therapist Elba Perez Becker will sing in Spanish, Portuguese and English and lead interactive activities with the kids. She will bring her guitar and a box of instruments for the kids to play.
